Audrey's OOTD #1

Hi everyone! It's Audrey.

This is my look from a little while back from when Treasure and I had our 2 day sleepover. Please excuse the state of my face--major under eye circles due to lack of sleep and no makeup due to lack of energy :D

I actually very rarely wear this shirt, just because I have a bad habit of loosing it or forgetting about it. I think I actually bought it with Treasure...anyways, when she was looking through my closet, she found it and told me to wear it. I had totally forgotten about it, but I'm so glad she found it! It looks so nice and its very unique with the keyhole and mesh, yet still stylish. This shirt is actually from a dance wear store, and it was originally meant to be sold as a ballroom shirt. It's amazing what you can find if you just look...

These riding pants are my current pride and joy. I really want them in taupe, but the green is really beautiful and bright too. They're from American Apparel (along with 50% of my wardrobe) and were a little pricey, but if you can find them on sale like I did, it's totally worth it. The high waist goes with everything, and the knee patches add a little bit of an authentic and vintage feel to them. They're overall amazing pants and if you have a chance, it's totally worth the splurge to get a pair.

I hope you enjoy! This is our first look that was posted on Lookbook, so we would really appreciate it if you hyped and commented and fanned away! You can find the look by clicking here, and below are some extra pictures from the shoot.

Hey everybody! We said that we would possibly be getting onto different social medias, and we finally made a few new accounts for you to follow us on!

We finally got a Twitter account, on which we will be posting little bits of inspiration, fashion tips and techniques, dance stuff, our videos, links to our blog posts, etc. Click here to follow @TheChinaDolls on Twitter!

From the start, we have had a Youtube account, but we just wanted to re-iterate how awesome it is and will be. Click here to subscribe to our Youtube channel.

Also, we have our Lookbook account which currently doesn't have anything up, but that will change soon. Hopefully there will also be the Lookbook widget on our blog for easier access and hyping. Until then, visit us here on our Lookbook profile.

We don't yet have a Facebook, although that should be coming up soon and when it does, we will be sure to let you all know.

Last but not least, we frequently check our email thechinadollconspiracy@gmail.com so if you have any other questions, comments, concerns, complaints, or anything else, don't hesitate to email us!

Hope to see you on the blog and our new social media sites! We are following back the first 75 followers on Twitter and Blogspot, fanning back the first 50 fans on Lookbook, and subscribing to our first 25 subscribers on YouTube. Follow, fan, and subscribe away!

Thank you so much for all of your support in these early stages of our blog. We truly are extremely greatful.

China Doll Conspiracy Launch!

Hello newcomers! We are Audrey and Treasure, best friend fashion bloggers, also known as the China Doll Conspiracy. As the inaugural post, we thought we would tell you a little about ourselves.

Firstly, The China Doll Conspiracy also has a YouTube account. (Subscribe, like, and comment please!!) We also have a Lookbook, lookbook.nu/chinadollconspiracy, and a Twitter, Facebook, and maybe Skype on the way. But that's beside the point. The following is our first video that's just a really quick About Us. Take a look! (Sorry the first part got cut off, and its really quiet. Hopefully we'll get the hang of it eventually.)

So there was the basics of us. Audrey and Treasure, dancers from Oakland School for the Arts. Now for the fun part.

15 RANDOM QUESTIONS TAG!!
(exclusive blog edition)

I'll just get right to it. Here we go. 15 random questions about us.

1. What is a nickname only your family calls you?
T: Tre.
A: I don't really have a nickname. With my friends, totally. But not really my family.

2. What is a weird habit of yours?
T: I am a diagnosed victim of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) .
A: Agh. There's so many. What comes to mind right now, is my eyebrows go up when I'm dancing, and according to sources (thank you dearest mommy) my nostrils also flare. The result is rather unattractive. Oh, one more. When nervous or in any way uncomfortable (I'll probably go in and out of it in videos) my voice gets very quiet and monotonous, and I wave my hands around but glue my upper arms to my sides. I call it the drowning penguin.

3. Do you have any weird phobias?
T: People smacking food, and pigeons.
A: Vomit. If you want to get all scientific, it's called Emetophobia. I think that's pretty self explanatory. I won't bore you with the details.

4. What song do you secretly love to blast and belt out when you're alone?
T: Trouble. By Taylor Swift. And pretty much any other Taylor Swift. Although I don't EVER play their music, Mindless Behavior is always stuck in my head.
A: None of the songs I love to blast and belt are really secret, because I'm pretty open about my musical preferences, but usually anything by Nat King Cole, The Beatles, Kanye West, Duke Ellington, Bruno Mars, Prokoviev, Usher, Adele, Beyonce, Maroon 5, Aretha Franklin, Jason Mraz, etc. I really love classical and jazz and oldies, but also pop and rap. Wow. This is really veering off from the original question.

5. What's one of your biggest pet peeves?
T: People that chew really loudly. They cause me to have mental breakdowns.
A: Weird smells. Not necessarily perfume (although definitely some of them fall under this category) but more like smells that for some reason I find revolting. For example: bananas, artificial flavoring, apple scented stuff, lunchrooms...the list goes on.

6. What's one of your nervous habits?
T: Biting my fingers, and I count. That's when my OCD gets really bad though, when I start counting.
A: I mess with my hands. I rub, crack, snap, stretch, twist, whatever. If I'm like taking a test or writing, the hand thing translates to clicking pens, tapping pencils, rubbing my forehead, etc.

7. What side of the bed do you sleep on?
T: Right.
A: This is actually something I periodically change (wouldn't want one side of my bed to get more soft than the other). Currently sleeping in the middle.

8. What was your first stuffed animal and it's name?
T: Teddy, the teddy bear. Got him on the day I was born, and still have it to this day.
A: Tiny (a pink dog) and Quacker (a duck). Got them at the same time. :)

9. What drink do you always order at Starbucks?
T: I used to get Double Chocolaty Chip mixed with Vanilla Bean, but then they started making Mocha Cookie Crumbles, which became my regular, but after summer they discontinued it at my local Starbucks so I now get Caramel Macchiato Decaf.
A: May I just say first, that Starbucks is like Treasure's favorite place in the world. Its almost to the point or ridiculousness. But for me, Iced Tea, Iced Tea Lemonade, Tea, Frappucino, Latte, or Mocha. I'm an indecisive girl.

10. What's the beauty rule you preach, but never actually practice?
T: Wash your face before you go to bed, and don't pick your face.
A: I don't have many, but I will say that I wear foundation more than I would like to admit. You just have those days when you need it. To everyone else however, I am a strong anti-foundation activist.

11. Which way do you face in the shower?
T: North?
A: People only face one way? Ew. Never hugging anyone ever again.

12. Do you have any weird body skills?
T: I am flexible, and the back of my head can touch the back of my kneecap when bending backwards. I can also do a double hand clap with my wrists and move my ears. And crack my nose. And I'm double jointed. And hyper extended. This list is very long.
A: Unfortunately no.

13. What is your favorite comfort food?
T: Salad.
A: Hard one. I'm gonna have to say Kentucky Fried Chicken for now, but its ever-changing.

14. What's a phrase or exclamation you always say?
T:
Fierce, work, yas, I got two strikes, etc.
A: "You do that," "have fun with that," "like," "congratulations," etc. Most of these are served dripping with sarcasm.

15. Time to go to bed--what are you actually wearing?
T: A "Pandamonium" T-Shirt, Dance sweats, and a down sweater.
A: Fuzzy printed sweatpants/pj pants (my favorite ones are grey with multicolored wiener doggies and brown with pigs in tutus and tiaras), a baggy shirt, and socks or my Nick and Nora sock monkey slippers. Yes, I wear socks to bed on a regular basis.

Well that's all for now. Soon you will see more fashion geared posts and links to our Facebook and Twitter pages, but for now you will have to be satisfied with this. Keep on checking our blog and YouTube, and we REALLY appreciate all of the support we can get, especially in these early stages in the blog.

You'll be hearing more from us.
